Commercial and IPT Associate or Senior Associate

WRP’s Commercial and IPT practice group is one of the Adelaide’s best, with a fast-growing and cutting edge practice regularly dealing with challenging IPT and commercial matters.

The opportunity

WRP is seeking a talented and dynamic Associate or Senior Associate who has good experience or a strong interest in intellectual property to join their rapidly growing national and international IP practice.

The successful lawyer will have 3-9 PAE and will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal advice and strategic guidance to their diverse and high-calibre clientele.

About the role 

As a key player in a friendly and positive team you will have the opportunity to:

• Provide comprehensive legal advice and solutions to clients on intellectual property matters.
• Negotiate and draft intellectual property and technology agreements, including commercialisation, research, royalty and licensing agreements, and website/software/application terms and conditions.
• File, manage and prosecute trade mark applications (including oppositions, disputes, sales and licensing).
• Provide advice relating to privacy, financial services licensing, and competition and consumer law, and online content regulation.
• Negotiate and draft general corporate and commercial advice and documentation, including, shareholders agreements, employee share schemes, capital raisings, sales and acquisitions, contractor/employment agreements and NDAs.
• Manage corporate and commercial transactions.

• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to clients and stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services to clients.
• Strong experience in drafting documents.
