- National powerhouse with a thriving family law practice
- High-end private client base
- Fantastic culture
- realistic targets
- close-knit team
Private-client family law. You sit in a pod and work the file as a team. Real support. Clear progression. Paid well. Yearly retreats.
The files are private clients. The work is not done alone.
This is a family law practice built around people, not a corridor of closed doors.
You will act for private clients on the matters that follow a relationship breakdown: parenting, property, financial agreements, divorce, and the court work when settlement will not hold.
You will not be left to invent the practice by yourself.
Lawyers here sit in pods. Files are discussed. Drafts are tested. Strategy is shared.
The support — legal assistants, seniors, systems — is built so you can practise law instead of hunting for a stapler and a second opinion.
What you will do?
- Run private-client family files from first conference through resolution
- Advise on parenting and property with a plan the client can follow
- Draft applications, affidavits, consent orders and financial agreements that survive scrutiny
- Appear at FDR, conferences, mentions and hearings when the matter requires it
- Work the file inside a pod: ask, brief, review, and take the next step together
- Build a practice with a visible path from lawyer to senior lawyer and beyond
Who this is for?
You have 2 to 10 years’ post-qualification experience in family law. You can take a frightened or angry client and turn the facts into options. You write clearly. You know the difference between a matter that should settle and a matter that must be run.
Two years is enough if the work is already in your hands. Ten years is welcome if you still want a team around you.
What you get?
- Paid well for this market
- Fantastic operational and legal support, so the file is not only yours after 6pm
- A pod culture: you sit with the people who are on the matter, not three floors away
- Clear progression — title, responsibility and pay that move when the work does
- Yearly retreats, plus the ordinary firm calendar of team events that actually happen
- Professional development that is funded, not theoretical
- Flexibility that treats family lawyers as people with families of their own
