About our client
Incolink is a joint enterprise of employer associations and industry unions in the Victorian, Tasmanian, South Australian and NSW commercial construction industry.
As Australia’s largest entitlement fund it has a simple focus – to be the leading provider of worker entitlements, insurance and wellbeing services to the commercial construction industry. The organisation’s unique mix of financial, mental health and wellbeing services enables it to support worker and employer members, continually improve its service offering, and reinvest back into the industry.
The Role/Position Overview
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced senior lawyer looking to step up into their first General Counsel role. A key position in the organisation, you will lead the day-to-day legal function and ensure the organisation understands and meets its legal requirements, obligations and regulatory responsibilities.
Reporting to the Chief Legal, Risk & Compliance Officer and Company Secretary, you will provide trusted, commercially practical advice to senior leadership across financial services, insurance, corporate, commercial, contractual, trusts, employment, privacy, disputes and regulatory matters.
You will work closely with Risk and Compliance on regulatory obligations and provide legal support across significant projects, products, services and strategic initiatives. The role also involves managing material legal matters and external counsel, supporting Board and Committee papers, and supervising and developing the Legal team and managing a senior legal counsel.
This is a broad and influential role offering the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a purpose-driven organisation supporting Australia’s commercial construction industry.
