Our client is one of the best known and most loved brands in Adelaide, with a significant Adelaide business operating nationally, and a huge turnover. With a household name FMCG brand, it is a South Australian success story, an employer of choice, and uniquely poised for future growth.
This role represents a rare opportunity for an astute mid level lawyer with strong legal, commercial and interpersonal skills to work closely with senior executives in the business to produce nimble and commercially savvy legal advice. Suited to a commercial lawyer, you will take on a broad legal role assisting the business as you advise on contractual arrangements, IP, employment law, regulatory and commercial issues, and one off disputes. Interestingly, the business is also involved in a one-off South Australian project which you can take part in and contribute to from a legal perspective. Your key relationships will be with executives and leaders in the business and your colleagues will be other mid-level professionals who have all chosen to make their career at this leading brand.
This is a chance for a pragmatic and focused lawyer to take on responsibility for a collection of matters and to help shape the legal affairs of the business. You will jump at the chance to have a rare level of autonomy and to contribute to decision making as you get to know the core business objectives and the issues the business faces. A hands-on role, you will provide pragmatic advice and help set the business up for continued success. In return you will be paid a positive market salary, and enjoy other benefits such as real flexibility, and products.
What you will need
In addition to sound legal skills and quality front end commercial experience, you will bring enthusiasm and interpersonal skills, and a keen interest in achieving commercial objectives. Suited to lawyers who back themselves and have roughly 3-7 years of experience gained in a quality commercial firm or in-house team. While the role is offered as a full time position, those seeking flexibility or part time are welcome to discuss it with us. The position will likely initially be offered as a 12+ month contract.
