About us
Our client is a national not-for-profit with a long and proud history of supporting Australians to achieve economic self-reliance.
Our Legal Counsel role
Reporting to the General Counsel, this lawyer will provide pro-active, astute and commercially viable in-house legal services across the business. With a broad range of matters to cut your teeth on, including contract reviews and negotiations, procurement, compliance, industrial, privacy, governance and regulatory, this role will suit a lawyer looking to make their mark long term in the Adelaide in-house market.
The role reports to a well known and highly rated General Counsel, and there will be hands-on mentoring available. To be successful in this role your appetite and ability to communicate with staff at all levels will be crucial.
The person we seek
The successful applicant will likely have a minimum of 2 or 3 years upwards of post-admission experience gained in a quality firm or in-house, with more senior lawyers welcome to apply. While those from the above areas are sought, bright lawyers who cover some of the above areas will also be considered.
The benefits
Joining this organisation will allow a quality lawyer to contribute to a charity whose focus is to improve the lives of others in a direct and meaningful manner. As part of a small legal team, it is a chance to use not only legal and interpersonal skills, but to contribute commercially to the business and work closely with senior executives. The role will pay an appropriate salary to attract quality senior applicants, including the ability to access tax effective salary packaging. Significantly though, the business also offers a fortnightly well being day, so enjoy what is effectively a 9 day fortnight!
