The business
Our client runs a significant and fast-paced business with a large retail function and growing and sizeable property portfolio. It’s adept in-house legal team provides comprehensive legal advice and services to senior executives including compliance, and this lawyer will be the key person in the team taking on this role.
The lawyer we seek
The lawyers we want to speak to are those who want to make a difference in what they do, are autonomous and decisive, and enjoy looking at legal issues in the compliance space to the benefit of the business. The salary package will be set to attract lawyers from 5-12 years PQE and with plenty of flexibility within the team as to how work is shared, part time lawyers are welcome to apply.
The Opportunity
In collaboration with the General Counsel you will play a critical role in the identification and management of compliance across the business and support the General Counsel to ensure the business keeps up with relevant local and international compliance legislation.
About You
As a self-starter who is results oriented, you will have the following skills:
- 5+ years experience across a range corporate and commercial matters or compliance
- Significant interest in compliance
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively
- A keen eye for detail
- Ability to influence others within the business to ensure obligation are met.
- Strong post admission experience gained within a respected firm or in house team
