Despite the current uncertain economic conditions litigation funding is growing. There is likely to be a a new wave of class actions against governments and businesses that are being severely impacted by the caronavirus pandemic.Our client is a successful international litigation funder, with offices in the UK and Australia. Following their success in the UK, they have quickly established themselves as a serious player in the Australian market and are expanding rapidly.
An autonomous role (suited to lawyers with 6-15 years of post admission experience gained in a major firm doing commercial litigation,) this role will engage and challenge the successful applicant. It will appeal to quality lawyers who are career motivated, driven, focused and confident and able to use not just their legal skills, but also their highly developed interpersonal skills to full effect.
The core element of the role will be to work with external lawyers on a variety of large, relatively complex commercial disputes from a range of causes of action. It will include plenty of decision making, financial modelling, high level interactions, and will suit a lawyer with acutely developed interpersonal and analytical skills.
