Defend the NSW Police Force against claims by individuals; act in both State and Federal jurisdictions; be a specialist in tort litigation; 2-4 yrs
Skills & experience
Will be an insurance government litigation lawyer at the 2-4 year level who has a high attention to detail, strong work ethic and “can do” attitude.
Preferrably you will have a health law background but a willingness to act in an admin/govt litigation practice with law enforcement/criminal law/procedure flavour.
Your new role
Will see you provide advice on indemnity, liability, quantum, litigation compliant evidence remedies and damages. You will have a sound knowledge of occupier and public liability claims, professional indemnity and negligence claims.
Becoming a specialist in tort litigation and working on inquests and inquiries and advising clients in respect of Special Commissions of Inquiry into matters relating to police investigations of certain abuse allegations.
