The Role
Reporting to a friendly, professional and successful general counsel, you will use your legal and commercial skills to full effect as you enable and support Journey Beyond’s corporate team and its operational business units, which operate some of Australia’s most iconic tourism assets. You will enjoy adding commercial and team value as you support team leadership and workflow management, guide and mentor. You will apply your commerciality as you lead legal workstreams for acquisitions and post-acquisition integration projects, advise on risk and compliance, and support commercial negotiations for the business. Your advice will be clear and practical, covering contracts, consumer law, IP, Privacy, governance and regulatory. You may also oversee outsourced litigation and transactions.
About You
As a Senior Legal Counsel you be a key part of the team, reporting to the General Manager for Legal & Compliance, based in the CBD. You will be well trained, commercial and personable, with roughly 7+ years of post-admission experience gained in a quality firm and/or in-house.
