Burgess Paluch has had substantial success recruiting for this global company with strong Australian presence over the past few years. We have a new role for a 3-6 year lawyer to join the growing friendly and dynamic team.
Our client:
Our client is a premier company with offices in cities around the world. The company operates in the banking and investment funds spaces and offers clients a comprehensive suite of investment strategies spanning Australian equities, international equities, activist equities, global hedge funds and U.K. residential property. The company has specifically advised that it is interested in transactional commercial and corporate or banking and funds lawyers who are commercially minded, but you must have a top-tier or mid-tier or relevant in-house background to join a team comprised of other high calibre lawyers.
The role:
This is a diverse, interesting and challenging in-house legal role. With a positive outlook, this role will appeal to a capable commercial lawyer looking for an in-house counsel role in which they can enjoy assisting with broad commercial matters, and the negoatiation and development and management of legal functions. Work closely with the Director – Legal and Compliance and other senior stakeholders across the investment, operations, and distribution teams, providing legal support across fund structuring, product governance, and regulatory compliance.
Assist with local and international fund formation, advise on financial services regulation, support the launch of new products, and assist with investor and marketing communications and compliance.
This is a hands-on, broad role offering exposure to a wide range of investment products (managed funds, listed investment companies, and ETFs) in a dynamic funds management environment.
You will be involved in managing relationships with stakeholders and suppliers. There will also be the opportunity to utilise other broad legal skill sets.
You will enjoy applying your commercial acumen as well as your technical skills in this legal role. With the chance to work on complex and significant contracts and projects, and with excellent support systems on offer this is a rare opportunity in the market. You will possess a minimum of 3 years (and no more than about 6 years) experience.
