This Role
Ego Pharmaceuticals is looking for a capable Senior Legal Counsel to join its Legal Department. Reporting to General Counsel – Legal, Senior Legal Counsel would be the strategic business partner providing strategic and commercially focussed legal advice to the Australian and Asia-Pacific commercial businesses and the manufacturing operations of Ego Pharmaceuticals. The Senior Legal Counsel will draft contracts, approve marketing material, manage external lawyers as required, and provide broad advice across areas such as competition law, corporate, privacy and regulatory, IP/IT, employment, property and construction, and disputes.
The experience we seek
Ego is seeking a well- trained and technically astute front-end commercial lawyer with at least 5 years of experience, gained in a quality firm or in-house. An interest or experience in manufacturing, skincare or international trade is desirable, and the successful lawyer should enjoy broad in-house commercial work, working with autonomy and with assistance when required.
The person we seek
The Senior Legal Counsel will need well rounded interpersonal skills and should be confident to work directly with key stakeholders throughout the business to deliver strategic and commercially focussed legal advice. As such, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills as well as the ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity. As the Ego Pharmaceuticals business is complex, curiosity and the ability to ask relevant questions and develop a deep understanding of the business, its culture, strategy and the factors that drive it will guarantee success.
